SOCIAL NETWORKS PROJECT

 1) What is a Social Network?
A social network is a social structure made up of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes", which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, etc.
A social networking site is a website where individuals can set up an online profile, describing his/her interests, and add links to other profiles. Generally, users are able to post personal information, including photographs, videos, and blog entries.

2)Which are the most common networks around the world?
Myspace, facebook, twitter, linkedin, wordpress, Digg and StumbleUpon.
3) What are they used for?
Young people use social media like Facebook and Twitter for more than simply staying in touch with their friends; they're also a means to make school and career connections.

4) Are you part of any social network? If yes, Which one?

5) Search for free social networks we can use in class. List at least 5.

- How to make it?

A Web Quest is a method used to engage students in inquiry based learning. A web quest is meant to guide students through a process of inquiry through a set of assigned tasks that lead them to a conclusion, or that results in a product.
A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web

a WebQuest can be created in Word, Powerpoint, and even Excel.When creating a WebQuests there are five pages to includes; an Introduction, Process, Task, Evaluation, Credits and a Teacher’s page.
